Our Lady of Lourdes Procession
The feast of Our Lady of Lourdes has always been a special feast day for many of our Residents. There are several of our Residents who have been to Lourdes in their youth, or who have statue of our Lady of Lourdes, or have water from Lourdes.
In our Gardens, on our property there is a Grotto our Lady of Lourdes that Residents like to go out to say their rosary. Because it had rained the day before and was still somewhat cold and damp, it was decided to have an inside candlelight Procession.
Many Residents participated, along with some of our Associates, volunteers, staff and friends of the Home who joined us to show our love and devotion to Our Blessed Mother. Our Procession began in the Chapel, where we began by praying the Rosary, and then Processed to a statue of the Blessed Mother (Our Lady of Guadalupe-which is so loved by so many of our Residents in the Southern California area), after paying our respects to Mary our Mother, we returned to the Chapel where we had Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. It was a grace-filled afternoon, which all enjoyed!
