The Sand Pipers and the Girl Scouts
We have many groups that come to visit our Residents during the Christmas Season, but the Residents always enjoy it when the “Sandpipers” come to visit. They always bring different crafts and they help the Residents make fun and creative things that they can decorate their rooms with.
This year, the Sandpipers came at the same time as a group of Girl Scouts so the two groups converged. With singing and crafts, the Residents enjoyed their afternoon very much. They made decorative mason jars with light and flower pots that the Residents decorated and chose little cactus that would go into the pots.
The Girl Scouts along with the Sandpipers helped the Residents, so they were one on one in the crafts, which the Residents enjoyed very much. They were all very attentive to the Residents, and there was much joy shared between all!
