The Sandpipers are South Bay Women’s Philanthropic Organization who serves the needs of the South Bay Community through charitable and philanthropic programs. Very often they work with children and the elderly.
We had the joy of having them for three days of different craft projects. They bring the supplies needed for the project, but more important they share their time and their gifts. The Residents that participated were somewhat infirm and enjoyed their one-on-one attention in making colorful paper flowers. After making the flowers they decorated vases to go with them. It was not only a fun “summer project”, but one that they could decorate their rooms with at the end of the morning!
We thank groups like the Sandpipers who share their time and talent to help our Residents to have fun.
