When we hear the word Mardi Gras, we immediately thing of New Orleans, beads, parades, masks and costumes. For sure, Mardi Gras is our time for merriment before Lent begins and the party at our Home was no exceptions. The Residents packed the auditorium knowing what the event had in store. The room was amazingly decorated with everything purple, green and gold. BJ the DJ spiced things up with terrific music. There were plenty of beads for everyone. Some Residents wore masquerade ball masks of feathers, sequins, and glitter. And, of course, there was a crowning of our Mardi Gras king and queen.
The fun did not stop there. Stonefire Gill provided another mouth water meal and desserts perfectly fit for the day before Ash Wednesday. They also provided presents for the Residents which were give to raffle ticket winners. Thank you, Stonefire Grill, for another fantastic day.
