Our auditorium was filled with Residents, staff, AJJ and Little Sisters as we celebrated our annual New Year’s Eve party on December 31st. We began the occasion with a visit by a Resident dressed as the Baby New Year and another dressed as Father Time wearing a beard and caring a staff. Little Sisters and others served food and drink to our Residents. There was lots of laughter and entertainment.
As we neared the stroke of “midnight,” everyone counted down the final seconds of 2012. Balloons filled with colorful confetti dropped from the ceiling. We sang “Auld Lang Syne” and danced the hokey poky. The music and fun continued for another hour or so. Everyone enjoyed this once-a-year event and took the opportunity to usher in the New Year with well wishes for a happy and prosperous new year.
