Breakfast with Santa
One of the favorite activities that we have here in San Pedro during the Christmas Season is “Breakfast with Santa”. It is just fun! All the Residents come together (from our two dining rooms) in the auditorium for a special breakfast, which is about everything (from bacon and eggs to waffles and sausages). Then, who comes in? Santa and Mrs. Claus and a group of elves! You can sense the joy in the air. There are many memories that come to mind of our childhood.
Santa first makes his rounds to the different tables giving gifts to all the Residents. Mrs. Claus and the elves follow along, spreading much cheer, since Mrs. Claus herself is very joyful. Our Residents are very diverse in nationalities coming from China, Vietnam, Croatia, Hungary and Italy just to name a few; yet it does not seem to fail, all enjoy visiting with Santa and Mrs. Claus!
After Santa makes his rounds, the Residents come to get their pictures taken with him, Mrs. Claus and the elves. A couple of the Residents had family members who were able to share the joy of seeing Santa and having pictures with their loved ones.
We wish Santa good travels this Christmas, as he goes around the world spreading so much joy!
