Once a year for the Residents’ Feast Day, the staff, volunteers, AJJ members and the Little Sisters bring the fun, excitement and magic of an old fashioned outdoor carnival alive for the Residents. The carnival has become a much-anticipated event at our Home.
“The carnival brings back the Residents’ memories of when they were young and attended carnivals with their families,” said Bing Vargas, Activities Director. “The smell of the corn dogs, the cold lemonade, the joy at winning a prize. Everyone, young and old, loves a carnival! And it’s a lot of fun for the staff too.”
Our garden is transforms for the day into a place of games, prizes, food, music and dancing.
