A busload of our Residents took off on Tuesday afternoon heading for Knott’s Berry Farm. They didn’t plan to take any thrilling theme park rides like they might have when they were a bit younger. Instead, their destination was the Knott’s MarketPlace to do some truly unique shopping – like at the Snoopy Store with its famous jams and jellies and the Emporium with all its Christmas decorations. “Years ago, I purchased a small Christmas tree here. And, I plan to put it up in my room next week,” explained one of the Residents.
All the walking led to big appetites which were more than satisfied at Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant which was serving its weekly Seniors’ Buffet. “We feasted on Knott’s famous chicken, biscuits, and boysenberry pie,” chimed in one Resident. “I chose the rhubarb pie instead,” explained another. “I use to always make my husband order rhubarb pie so I could eat two!” The Residents were thrilled with the service they received and are looking forward to another opportunity to visit Knott’s Berry Farm.
