We recently held a ribbon cutting and open house for our Laundry Facility. The washers and dryers that were initially installed in 1979 when the Little Sisters first moved to the San Pedro have been replaced with modern institutional machines. Residents, employees, guests and Little Sisters were able to tour and see the three new washers and dryers in operations. The Laundry Facility provides quality processing of over 4,000 pounds of clothing, bed linens, towels, and other items each week. With the investment in new equipment, we will benefit from greater energy efficiency, faster operating time, reduced fabric wear and improved environmental controls. We are grateful to the many benefactors who helped make this important upgrade possible.
