Sixty 2nd Grade Students from St. Vincent Catholic School in Los Angeles, run by the Sisters of Charity, visited our Home on Jan. 30 for their service project. They were accompanied by their music teachers and parents. The students sang and danced and performed short plays, such as Little Red Riding Hood, Goldilocks, Hansel and Gretel, to name a few. The Residents were charmed by the children as they performed on stage. Some students read their own poetry about topics such as happiness, being grateful, old age and family. At the end of the show, the students handed each Resident a copy of the poem they wrote and visited with them. It was a treat seeing them perform and having them attend Mass with the Residents in the chapel.
