Every year, on the last Sunday in August, the Home at Little Sisters of the Poor comes alive with a lively traditional Italian Dinner served for the Residents, just because they like it! The Association Jeanne Jugan presents this delicious meal with all the trimmings plus musical entertainment in honor of the Feast Day of our Mother Foundress, St. Jeanne Jugan.
Many friends, family members and vendors in the Community gather their resources to make this wonderful celebration. There are the famous family meatball makers, the pizzas donated by our neighboring establishments Buono’s and Sorrento’s, and the flowers donated so graciously by South Shores Flowers and Gifts. To add another authentic touch, Frank and Tina Sogliuzzo join us, Frank on the accordion and Tina at the piano.
The Association Jeanne Jugan proudly cooked and presented this delicious meal in conjunction with the kitchen staff of Little Sisters of the Poor . Everyone had a great time!
