The Auxiliary of the Little Sisters of the Poor hosted its 16th annual event on Saturday, June 22, 2012 at the law offices of Keesel Young and Logan in Long Beach. Each year the Auxiliary organizes a silent and live auction with a cocktail hour and dinner. All proceeds go directly to the Little Sisters to support their work of caring for the elderly in need.
The theme of A Skyline Gala fit perfectly with the venue’s top floor location which provides a 360° view of the surrounding area including Rainbow Harbor, the Queen Mary and Palos Verdes Peninsula.
“This was an amazing location to hold our event,” states Dottie Good, Auxiliary President.“ The Keesel Young and Logan staff worked tirelessly to have every detail just perfect. There was plenty of room for our silent auction and for visiting during the cocktail hour.”
According to Mickey Zimmer, Event Co-chair, “We are so grateful to our supporters. Everyone was extremely generous in the bidding. This tells a great deal about the deep appreciation that exists for the work of the Little Sisters.”
Auxiliary membership is composed of over 200 outstanding women from the South Bay and Long Beach areas. They meet three times a year in the months of January, April and October. New members are always welcome. Click here to learn more about our Auxiliary.
