The May Crowning
May is a month that is traditionally dedicated to Mary. Sometime during the month, she is crowned Queen of both Heaven and Earth. This year we chose the feast of Our Lady of Fatima to crown Our Lady. Our Residents love the Rosary. So we gathered together to sing and pray the Rosary in honor of Mary. After the prayers began, we processed on the second floor of the Home, returning to the Chapel to continue to pray.
One of our Residents had the great honor to crown the Blessed Mother, with a little help from our Chaplain, Fr. Jacob. The crown was made at the Home, with flowers from the garden, which truly honored Mary. It was a joy for all!
